Our Warranty

Guaranteed for a year. Built for decades.

Every AVP installation carries a one-year workmanship warranty. If our installation is at fault, we come back and make it right — at no cost.

Wood moves, houses settle, and the first year is when an installation proves itself through a full cycle of Florida seasons. That’s exactly the period our warranty covers: one year from completion, against defects in our workmanship under normal residential use.

In practice, a warranty visit is rare — the same habits that make the work look right on day one (scribed fits, coped joints, quality fasteners and adhesives, finishes applied in place) are what keep it tight through the seasons. But when a joint does open or a door starts to rub because of something we did, you don’t negotiate with us about it. We schedule the visit and fix it.

Manufacturer warranties on products — paint, hardware, electric fireplace inserts, fixtures — apply separately per each manufacturer, and we’ll help you navigate those if a product itself ever fails. The full warranty language lives in our terms.

Warranty questions

The warranty, explained.

What does the AVP warranty cover?

AVP Construction JAX warranties its workmanship for one year from the completion date against defects in installation under normal residential use — things like a joint opening up, a door rubbing, or trim separating because of how it was installed. If our installation is at fault within that year, we come back and make it right at no cost.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty covers our installation, not events outside it: damage from structural movement or settling, moisture intrusion outside our scope of work, modifications made by other trades after we finish, and normal wear and tear. Products like paint, hardware, and fixtures carry their manufacturers' own warranties, which apply separately.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Call or text us at (904) 842-4243 or use the contact form with a photo of the issue. We'll schedule a visit, assess whether it's a workmanship defect, and repair covered issues at no charge — usually within the same visit.

Does the warranty transfer if I sell my home?

The warranty covers the original installation for one year from completion. If you're selling within that window, have the buyer's agent contact us — we're glad to confirm the remaining coverage and what it applies to in writing.
