A built-in is the difference between furniture you place in a room and architecture that belongs to it. Done right, a wall of cabinetry or a flanking pair of bookcases looks like it was framed with the house: scribed to the wall, level across an uneven floor, and finished so the seams disappear. That is finish carpentry, not flat-pack assembly, and it is the work we do every day.
We build built-ins for the awkward and the ambitious alike, the dead space beside a fireplace, the blank wall in a family room, a window seat with drawers below, a reading nook lined in shelving. We plan the proportions to the room, integrate lighting and concealed storage where it helps, and paint or stain everything in place so the result reads as one intentional piece.

Planning your project
What drives the price
Cabinetry is priced by what's in it: closed doors and drawers cost more than open shelving, arches and radius work more than straight runs, and stained hardwood more than paint-grade. A window seat with drawers is a different number than a full fireplace wall. The consultation ends with one all-in price for the design you actually want.
Timeline
Most built-ins are built and finished on-site in two to five days. Multi-wall projects (a fireplace surround plus flanking bookcases, or a full library) can run a few days longer, and we confirm the window in writing before starting.
Materials & finish
Boxes and structure in cabinet-grade plywood, face frames and edges in solid wood, adjustable shelves that carry real book loads without sagging. Painted builds are sprayed in durable urethane-fortified enamel; stained builds use matched hardwood like white oak or walnut.
Care & maintenance
Sprayed enamel wipes clean with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive pads on any finished surface. Shelf pins re-position as collections change. Small dings can be filled and touched up with the paint we leave behind. Anything that's our workmanship in the first year, we fix.
