A dry bar is one of those upgrades that quietly changes how a home feels to entertain in. Instead of crowding the kitchen, guests have a dedicated spot to pour a drink — and you get handsome storage for glassware, bottles, and the bar tools that otherwise live in a drawer. Done well, it looks built-in because it is.

We design dry bars to fit the spot you have, whether that's a dead-end dining-room wall, an awkward nook, or a stretch of hallway between rooms. Floating shelves with under-lighting, glass-front upper cabinets, a stone or butcher-block counter, a tile or paneled backsplash, closed base storage — we build the combination that fits your space and your hosting.

What we build

Glass-front display cabinets

Floating shelves with lighting

Solid-wood floating shelves with integrated LED lighting for a warm, finished glow.

Stone & wood countertops

Quartz, butcher-block, or stone counters that give you a durable, wipeable surface for pouring and serving.

Backsplash & base storage

Tile or paneled backsplashes and closed lower cabinets to keep the bar stocked and tidy.

Questions, answered

Dry Bars, explained.

What's the difference between a dry bar and a wet bar?

A dry bar has no plumbing — it's built for storage, display, and serving, with cabinets, shelving, and a counter. A wet bar adds a sink and plumbing. AVP specializes in custom dry bars, which fit far more spaces because they don't require running water lines.

Where can a dry bar go in my home?

Dry bars work almost anywhere — a dining-room wall, a living-room nook, a hallway between the kitchen and entertaining space, or a converted closet. Because there's no plumbing, we can build one wherever there's wall space, and we design it to fit the exact spot you have.

Can you add lighting and glass cabinets to the dry bar?

Yes. Interior cabinet lighting, under-shelf LED lighting, and glass-front display cabinets are among the most popular dry-bar features we build, and we wire the lighting in as part of the installation.

How much does a custom dry bar cost?

A dry bar is custom-priced based on its size, the cabinetry and counter material, and features like lighting and glass doors. We provide one all-in price at your in-home consultation, with no surprise add-ons later.
