Trim & Finish Carpentry

The details that make a house feel custom.

Crown molding, upgraded baseboards, casing, wainscoting, and paneling, the finish carpentry that turns builder-grade rooms into intentional ones.

5.0★ Google-rated with 220+ reviews

Finish carpentry is everything you see and touch after the drywall goes up: the crown that frames the ceiling, the baseboards that ground the wall, the casing around every door and window, and the paneling that gives a room its character. It is also the work where the gap between a cheap install and a craftsman install is most obvious, in the miters, the reveals, the caulk lines, and the way the trim meets at every corner.

We upgrade builder-grade trim throughout a home, or add architectural detail one room at a time: taller baseboards, layered crown molding, picture-frame wainscoting, board and batten, and full wall paneling. Everything is coped, scribed, and finished in place so the trim looks like it was always part of the house, not added on later.

Wainscoting & paneling

Picture-frame wainscoting, board and batten, and full wall paneling laid out to the room's exact proportions.

Whole-home trim packages

Coordinated trim throughout the house so profiles, reveals, and finishes match from room to room.

Questions, answered

Trim & Finish Carpentry, explained.

What is finish carpentry?

Finish carpentry is the visible woodwork installed after framing and drywall: crown molding, baseboards, door and window casing, wainscoting, paneling, built-ins, and trim. It is the detail work that determines how finished and custom a room looks, and it is the core of what AVP Construction JAX does.

Can you upgrade the builder-grade trim in my home?

Yes. Replacing thin builder-grade baseboards and casing with taller, layered profiles, and adding crown molding or wainscoting, is one of the most cost-effective ways to make a production home feel custom. We can do it room by room or throughout the house.

Do you match new trim to my existing molding?

Yes. We match the profile, proportions, and finish of new trim to your existing molding so the work blends seamlessly, or we recommend a coordinated upgrade if you want to refresh the whole home's trim to a consistent look.

How long does a trim project take?

A single room of crown or wainscoting is usually one to two days; a whole-home trim package runs longer. We give you a clear timeline and one all-in price at your in-home consultation.
