Pantries and mudrooms are the rooms that decide whether a house feels calm or chaotic, and they are almost always the ones builders finish with a few wire shelves and call done. A custom pantry build-out replaces sagging wire racks with real adjustable shelving, counter space, and storage sized to what you actually keep. A custom mudroom turns the door everyone uses into a proper drop zone instead of a pile.

We build walk-in and reach-in pantry systems with wood shelving, drawers, and counters for small appliances, and mudroom lockers with bench seating, hooks, cubbies, and closed cabinets above. Everything is built into the room and finished in place, so the most-used spaces in your home finally work as hard as you need them to.

What we build

Walk-in pantry shelving

Adjustable wood shelving, drawers, and counter space that replace builder wire racks and fit what you actually store.

Mudroom lockers & benches

Built-in lockers with bench seating, hooks, and cubbies that give every family member a spot by the door.

Drop-zone cabinetry

Closed upper cabinets and lower storage to hide the daily clutter of bags, shoes, and mail.

Laundry-room built-ins

Folding counters, hanging space, and cabinetry that turn a laundry closet into a functional room.

Planning your project

What drives the price

Square footage and cabinetry density set the number: open wood shelving costs less per foot than drawer banks and closed lockers, and a counter for small appliances adds material. Replacing wire racks in a reach-in pantry is a small project; a full mudroom locker wall is a bigger one. Both get one all-in price at consultation.

Timeline

A pantry re-shelve typically takes a day; a full walk-in pantry or mudroom locker build runs two to four days including paint. These rooms are back in service the evening we finish.

Materials & finish

Shelving in plywood with solid-wood edging, not particleboard that sags under canned goods. Lockers, benches, and cubbies built to your family's sizes. Everything is sprayed or brushed in an enamel that survives shoes, bags, and groceries.

Care & maintenance

These are the hardest-working rooms in the house, so we finish them to be scrubbed: enamel surfaces take a damp cloth and mild cleaner. Bench tops and locker interiors shrug off daily wear, and adjustable pantry shelves re-space as what you store changes.

Questions, answered

Pantries & Mudrooms, explained.

Can you replace the wire shelving in my pantry?

Yes. Replacing builder-grade wire shelving with custom wood shelving, drawers, and counter space is one of our most common pantry projects. We build the system to fit your pantry's exact dimensions and the way you store food and small appliances.

What goes into a custom mudroom?

A custom mudroom typically includes built-in lockers or cubbies, a bench with storage, hooks, and closed cabinetry above for the things you want out of sight. We design the layout around your entry space and the number of people using it.

Can you build pantry and mudroom storage in a new-construction home?

Yes. Many new-construction homes in Nocatee, RiverTown, and Silverleaf come with builder-grade pantry and mudroom spaces that we upgrade with custom shelving, lockers, and cabinetry to add the function and finish the base package leaves out.

How much does a custom pantry or mudroom cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the room and the amount of shelving, cabinetry, and bench or locker work involved. We give you one all-in price at your in-home consultation, with no surprise add-ons.
